Today SVS unveiled a trio of new subwoofers. Dubbed the 4000 series, these subs share some of the same tech that’s part of SVS’s flagship 16-Ultra series. As a result, this trio of subs have substantial output, low-frequency extension, and pinpoint control and accuracy. All three of the subwoofers feature a proprietary 13.5 inch driver powered by a Sledge STA-1200D amplifier. SVS also offers-up an app that’s available for Android and iOS devices that allows for advanced fine-tuning of the subs. The app lets you tweak the hell out of their low frequency output giving you control over DSP functions including: volume, parametric EQ, low pass filter, phase, polarity, room gain, port tuning, custom presets and system settings.

The SB-4000 utilizes a sealed cabinet design and measures 18.3 x 17.8 x 20.9 inches. According to SVS, SB-4000 has a frequency response of 19-310 Hz ±3 dB. The sub comes available with either a black oak finish or a high gloss black. The 4000 carries a sticker price of about $1500 for the oak finish and $1600 for the gloss.

The PB-4000 is beefier than the SB-4000 and measures about 23.4 x 20.5 x 30 inches. The PB-4000 uses a ported design that allows for variable tuning. The sub’s frequency response varies depending on which tuning mode you choose – Standard Mode: 16-200 Hz ±3dB, Extended Mode: 13-200 Hz ±3dB, and Sealed Mode: 18-200 Hz ±3dB. Like the SB-4000, the PB-4000 also comes clad in either a black oak finish or gloss black. The oak finish is the least expensive of the two coming in around $1900. The gloss back will set you back about $2000.

Last, but not least, is the PC-4000. This cylindrical monolith is the biggest of the three measuring in at an impressive 47 x 16.6 inches. Like the PB-4000, the PC-4000 has three variable tuning modes – Standard Mode yields a frequency response of 17-200 Hz ±3dB, Extended Mode gives you 15-200 Hz ±3dB, and Sealed mode is about 16-200 Hz ±3dB. The PC-4000 is available only in gloss black and also includes the SoundPath Subwoofer Isolation System for cleaner sounding bass with increased definition and more punch without room rattle. The final price on the PC-4000 is around $1800.

The PB-4000 should be available to purchase December 15, 2017 with the SB-4000 arriving soon after on December 22. The PC-4000 won’t be ready to ship until January 15th of next year. More information on these three subwoofers can be found on SVS’s website.
