The 9.2 channel Aventage RX-A3060 is the cream of the crop in Yamaha’s line this year. All of which support HDCP 2.2, 4K video at 60 frames per second (pass-through only), and a wider color gamut with HDR and BT.2020. Beyond the HDMIs, the 3060 has a ton of analog and component inputs to go with its optical and coaxial digital inputs.

Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and More…

Dolby Atmos and DTS:X are both present and accounted for on the 3060. The receiver is able to accommodate 5.1.4  and 7.1.2 speaker configurations for Atmos and DTS:X setups, but throw-in a 2-channel amplifier and it can process 11 channels.


Built-in ESS SABRE 32-bit DAC  enable the Yamaha RX-A3060 to produce a vibrant sound stage with low distortion and excellent dynamic range. The amp also has impressive audio codec support. DSD, AIFF, FLAC, WAV, and Apple Lossless are all supported and can be streamed over your network or from an attached USB device.


WiFi and Bluetooth are built-in to the 3060 so you can not only stream music from your smart device, but also from online streaming services such as Pandora, Spotify, Rhapsody, Sirius XM Internet Radio, and vTuner.


Multi-Room Capabilities

The Yamaha RX-A3060 has stout multi-room capabilities. The receiver offers powered zone 2 and 3 with advanced HDMI switching in zone 2. A graphical user interface allows anyone in the second zone to play content independent of what’s being played in the main zone. In addition, the 3060 supports Yamaha’s MusicCast multi-room service. With MusicCast it’s possible to stream audio from any device hooked-up to the Yamaha RX-A3060 to a MusicCast compatible speaker.
