2016 looks to be the year of Dolby Atmos. Many manufacturers are releasing Dolby Atmos Speaker Modules that are compatible with the fledgling audio format. Triad Speakers has decided to join the party by announcing the release of their Bronze and Silver Atmos Speaker modules.

These new entries in Triad’s speaker line-up are designed to match Triad’s Bronze and Silver LCR speakers. However, they’ll also fit on most flat-top speakers from other manufacturers. Both models are available with a black pebble finish as well as zebrawood, walnut and teak veneers.

The Bronze units house (4) 2-inch neodymium drivers and the Silver has (4) 3-inch neodymium drivers. The driver array in both is angled in such a manner that sound reflects off the ceiling and down into your listening area creating overhead sound effects. The frequency response of the Bronze modules is estimated by Triad to be about 180 Hz – 20kHz (+/-3dB). The Silvers can go a little lower with a response of 130 Hz. Price wise you can expect to drop about $500 bucks down on the Bronze and $600 on the Silver. More info about these speakers can be found on Triad’s website.
