Lets face it, we all like a little bit of bass in our lives. Paradigm obviously didn’t think we had enough so they went ahead and created two room shaking, teeth rattling subwoofers, the 1000SW and the 2000SW.

The baby of the two, the 12-inch 1000SW, weighs in at a meager 91 lbs and measures 18″ x 18″ x 16″. The 2000SW contains a hulking 15-inch woofer and weighs in at a whopping 121 lbs. It’s frame measures roughly 22″ x 22″ x 20″. Both subs come in four finish options Piano Black, Midnight Cherry, Walnut and Black Walnut.

The 1000SW contains an Ultra-Class-D™ Amplifier which is capable of delivering 1000 watts of continuous power with a peak output of 1700 watts. The 2000SW also possesses an Ultra-Class-D™ Amplifier and pumps out 2000 watts of continuous power with a max output of 3400 watts.

Unlike most subwoofers, the controls for both subs are conveniently mounted to the front. As you’d expect, they allow you to control standard sub features such as Level, Cut-Off Frequency and Phase. However, in addition to these features Paradigm has also thrown in a couple of unique add-ons.

One additional feature is the PBK on/off switch. PBK stands for Perfect Bass Kit which ships with both of these beasts. The bass kit is comprised of a micro-phone and computer software which analyzes the subwoofers response in your room and then makes the necessary equalization changes for optimal performance. The PBK on/off switch allows you to easily hear the difference in your subs performance with and without PBK.

Both the 1000SW and 2000SW also include a tone-sweep feature which allows you to locate resonances and troublesome rattles in your listening area. Pressing the sweep button sends out a tone sweep throughout the room. If resonance or a rattle is detected, pressing the tone-sweep button a second time holds the frequency and allows you to investigate and locate the culprit.

Both subwoofers should be hitting store shelves any day now. The Prestige 2000SW  has an MSRP of $3,999/ea while the Prestige 1000SW has an MSRP of $2,999/ea. The Midnight Cherry finish is a special order and will command a $300 premium price for both subs.
