Let’s face it, full fledged home theaters usually consist of big, bulky, and sometimes unsightly, speakers. On the other hand, If you’re willing to sacrifice sound quality, you can always opt for a good sounding soundbar. However, Klipsch thinks it has the best compromise between the two with their new 5.1 Reference home theater package. The only thing you need to throw in the mix is an AV receiver.Their new Reference home theater package consists of four satellite speakers each standing less than 8-inches tall. Behind the acoustically transparent grille of each speaker lurks a 3.5-inch copper-spun metallic woofer coupled with a horn loaded tweeter. The center channel measures 11-inches wide and has the same horn loaded tweeter, but it also includes dual 3.5-inch copper-spun woofers. Whether you want to mount the speakers on your wall or place them on speaker stands Klipsch has you covered. For added flexibility, each speaker includes a thread insert and a keyhole for either scenario. The home theater package should provide plenty of rumble with the included 13″ x 12″ x 12″ wireless subwoofer which is rated at 150 watts. According to Klipsch, the sub is capable of hitting frequencies as low 38Hz which should provide plenty of boom. The entire setup will cost you about $999, and can be pre-ordered on Klipsch’s website. Please like & share: You must log in to post a comment.
