If you’re in the market for a new subwoofer, Canadian speaker maker Fluance may have the sub you’re looking for. A couple months ago Fluance announced the coming of a new 12″ subwoofer to their line-up.  Well, it looks like the wait may be over as the DB12 is finally available for purchase.

Fluance DB12 Subwoofer Preview

The ported cabinet of the Fluance DB12 houses a long excursion front firing 12″ driver. The driver’s rigid cone is designed to limit distortion while still providing deep powerful bass. The end result is that the sub should be punchy enough for home theater use while still being nimble for music. The subwoofer’s MDF wood casing is available in the three finish options – Black, Mahogany and Walnut.  According to Fluance, the DB12 has an estimated frequency response of 38Hz – 180Hz (±3 dB).  The DB12’s amplifier provides 240 watts of continuous clean power with a maximum dynamic power output of 400 watts.

Despite hosting a 12″ driver, the Fluance DB12 seems rather svelte by subwoofer standards. The sub measures a meager 17″ x 17″ x 15″ which should provide numerous placement options for end users.

The Fluance DB12 is currently available for purchase on Fluance and Amazon.
