If you want a bluetooth speaker that not only pumps out good tunes, but also acts as a conversation piece, look no further than the Fireside Audiobox.

The speaker which measures 19.5″ tall by 14″ wide by 4.5″ deep puts on an arousing fire show that dances to the rhythm of your music. Designed by Grey Street Design, the hand crafted speaker has its roots in physics. Based on a Rubens’ Tube, the metal cylinder mounted on top of the Fireside Audiobox uses flames to demonstrate the relationship between acoustic standing waves and sound pressure.

Grey Street Design claims that the built-in Li-po battery can power the speaker for up to eight hours. To stoke the flames the Audiobox requires a 16.4 oz propane canister which can be picked up at nearly any camping store.

Purchasing a Fireside Audiobox isn’t as simple as running to your nearest Best Buy. If you have an interest in this stylish speaker the project is currently being crowd funded thru Kickstarter.
