Fender is well known for their Bluetooth speakers. Well…not really. Most people associate Fender with guitars and amplifiers, however, the iconic brand is trying to make a name for itself in the competitive world of Bluetooth speakers. Its two newest speakers are called the Newport and Monterey. Both speakers feature designs inspired by Fender’s 1968 custom amplifiers with retro styled grilles, knobs, and buttons.

The Newport, the smaller of the two speakers, is designed to be portable. The little speaker delivers about 30 watts of power to its two woofers and single tweeter. The Newport includes a rechargeable battery that Fender claims will provide 12 hours of music enjoyment. The speaker also includes Bluetooth with aptX as well as a USB port that can be used to charge your devices.

The Monterey is the beefier of the two speakers and because of its size, it’s better suited to set on your shelf rather than inside your back pack. Underneath the retro grille, the Monterey has dual woofers and dual tweeters all powered by 120 watts. RCA inputs and a 3.5mm jack are included to connect external audio sources. And like the smaller Newport the Monterey also supports Bluetooth with aptX.

Both the Newport and Monterey are available now at various retailers.
