Denon’s always late to the party when it comes to revealing their new receiver line-up. However, good things come to those who wait. When compared to last years E-Series of receivers, the Denon AVR S900W receiver, at least on paper, is loaded with features which may make it worth the wait.

Denon AVR-S900W Receiver

The Denon AVR S900W is rated at 185 watts per channel and boasts 8 HDMI inputs (that’s right I said 8) and 2 outputs. Seven of the inputs support the latest HDMI 2.0 standards. Being that 4K is all the rage, the S900W offers both 4K UltraHD passthrough and upscaling.

For networking, the Denon S900W has a vast array of features including WiFi, Bluetooth and AirPlay. The S900 is also DLNA compliant which allows for streaming from a PC, MAC or Android device.

For audio processing, the Denon AVR S900W utilizes discrete amplifiers and is compatible with low impedance 4 Ohm speakers. Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio are also on the list of audio codecs the 900W can decode, as well as Dolby Pro Logic IIz which lets you add front height speakers.ster
